We didn’t have to change terminal in Heathrow this time so we were able to use much of the transit time (well, as much as you get after having to undergo a number of security checks along the way) in the BA lounge. Onboard a BA plane for the short flight to Lisbon. Whilst it was ticketed as a Business class flight/seat, it was a normal Economy seating plan, with 3-3 configuration, however, there was no-one in the middle seat thereby giving us the sense we were in Business class??! Finding a taxi large enough to fit three of us all with big suitcases was a challenge, and eventually one driver just used an occy strap type device to secure the trunk closed and off we went. Made it our hotel – Holiday Inn Lisbon Continental without incident or losing any luggage! After unpacking, shower and snooze, we (John, Steve, Jane, me and possibly Susan) met downstairs and went for a stroll to shake out the cobwebs, and to have an early dinner. John oversaw finding a suitable dinner venue and he did just that. It was an early night for me.
