I was quite
excited about this trip as it was my first time on the A380, and in Business
Class as well. From investigation, Business class is all on the upper deck with
a few Premium Economy at the rear, and First and Economy on the lower deck. I
met Steve and John in the international QC club and had a few beverages before
boarding. There were a few spare seats on the upper deck, but they were packed
in like sardines on the lower deck. There is a bar-lounge on the upper deck
where you can sit and chat with friends and help yourself to the bar – very
civilised! I did make use of the lounge area to fire up the laptop and do some
more work on my presentation. Despite the seat lying flat, I was not able to
sleep all that well because it was rock hard and when the hosties walked down
the aisle, it sounded like a toddler running up and down, so I snoozed and
watched movies. We had a short stopover in Singapore and only John and I made
it to the QC lounge as Steve did some shopping for Sally. Back onboard for
another meal and more snoozing.
